This is why every ambulance and operations vehicle in our fleet is equipped with a on-board computer system.  This system gives our field crews a direct link to the communications center here in Amarillo.  Ambulance crews receive real time updates to 911 calls as they are happening.  This is a huge advantage because crews can better prepare before they ever arrive on scene.  

These computer are also equipped with a vehicle gps and mapping system that is also directly linked to the city’s communication center.  This helps crews get to our patients quicker and more efficiently.
